Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release and Structural Integration
The above three modalities are where I see the most improvement in my clients.
It is important to note that I will be educating you with every session on how to keep these treatments working on your own with a few simple tools.
My combination of these modalities and education will help you discover that you no longer have to live with pain or discomfort.
Experienced benefits of relief are: low back, hip and neck pain, frozen shoulder, carpel tunnel syndrome, forward head posture, TMJ, knee, lower leg and foot pain, thoracic outlet syndrome, tension headaches, rotator cuff issues and lordosis/kyphosis, and more!
Trigger point therapy is the most effective modality used by massage therapists for the relief of pain. Trigger points can develop in any of the two hundred pairs of muscles that refer pain and motor dysfunction--often to another location.
Myofascial Release is a highly specialized stretching technique used to treat patients with a variety of soft tissue problems. When muscle fibers are injured, the fibers and the fascia (a thin tissue that covers all the organs of the body) become short and tight. This uneven stress can be transmitted through the fascia to other parts of the body, causing pain and a variety of other symptoms in areas you often wouldn't expect.
Structural integration taps into four elements: structure, function, emotion and energy. The body is realigned using proven connective tissue (fascia) manipulation techniques. It’s a known fact we can store emotional issues and mental stresses in our tissues which causes tightness and density, thus restricting movement and the flow of fluids.
It's important to recognize that pain and tension are usually the result of an overall pattern of imbalance occurring in the body.
